Mofei-Labis affiliated with the Institute of Integrated Micro/Nano Electronics, School of Integrated Circuits and Electronics, Beijing Institute of Technology (Prof. Yeliang Wang’s research team).Building on BIT’s strong engineering heritage and addressing the development needs of microelectronics and information storage technologies in the post-Moore era, the lab conducts research on novel devices and integrated circuits.
Beijing Institute of Technology, founded in 1940, is the first science and engineering university established by the Communist Party of China. It is also among the first institutions selected for the national "211 Project" and "985 Project," and is a Category A member of the "Double First-Class" initiative. The university has long been at the forefront in fields such as defense technology, information technology, integrated circuits, control, and intelligent systems, forming a disciplinary system characterized by engineering excellence and the coordinated development of fundamental and applied research. Building upon BIT's comprehensive strengths in disciplines such asIntegrated Circuit Science and Engineering, Physics, and Information and Communication Engineering, the research group operates under favorable scientific conditions and an interdisciplinary research environment.

In its research endeavors, the group focuses on novel non-volatile memory and advanced microelectronic devices, with particular emphasis on the physical mechanisms, reliability, and engineering implementation of ferroelectric materials and their heterostructure devices. By integrating device physics and semiconductor process technology, the group also conducts exploratory research on three-dimensional integration and high-density system integration. Furthermore, the group develops device simulation and compact modeling methods for circuit and system applications and extends its research findings to novel memory circuits, in-memory computing architectures, and related supporting circuit designs.
The group conducts collaborative research at both its Beijing and Zhuhai campuses, fully leveraging the strengths of the Beijing campus in fundamental research and interdisciplinary studies, as well as the conditions at the Zhuhai campus for engineering implementation and applied research. This approach forms a comprehensive research chain spanningdevices and processes, modeling and simulation, to circuits and systems, serving the advancement of novel storage technologies and post-Moore integrated circuits.
